This house is right on the shores of the Pacific Ocean: four miles north of Morro Bay and twenty minutes south of Hearst Castle. The beach is about five miles long and 200 yards wide. You can walk along the beach into the little town of Cayucos. The house is twenty minutes north of San Luis Obispo and driving time is approximately three hours from the Bay Area and 3.5 hours from L.A. Cambria is 15 minutes north of Cayucos and Hearst Castle is 30 minutes north of Cayucos. The main house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The studio has two bedrooms, bath, a small office/kitchen area and small living room. Between the two houses is a courtyard fenced in for children's safety. There is a queen size bed in each of the four bedrooms and two double futons that are used as couches during the daytime. There are three floor futons for kids to sleep on. The main house has a large social area for big family gatherings and a deck facing the beach for whale and dolphin watching. The windows facing the ocean are large enough so that you often feel you are outside when you are inside. The two houses together sleep up to 10. There is jogging, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, body surfing, sand dune sledding nearby, and whale and porpoise watching for entertainment. You can build a fire on the beach. It's a wonderful place to take the family and relax.
